Tokgoz said, “We have been working for international students as an association for years. Students from all over the world are pursuing their education in our cities, learning Turkish, coping with each other and we strive to provide them with possible material and emotional support throughout their study tenure such that they take and spread with them the norms and values they earn here. I would like to thank all those present here in order to make the 12th International Students’ Gathering possible.”

Vice-President of UDEF, Selman Duran said, “The event in which around 150 thousand students from 7 continents meet, this year we are organizing it widening to 91 cities of 51 different countries. Students coming to Turkey, we do not address them as foreigners but our guests. The events, in which our guest students participate, are the means of establishing the bridges of brotherhood and unity to every parts of world. With our volunteer cultural ambassadors, we will spread Turkey to the world with the slogan of “For a Just World, From East to West”.
