12th International Students’ Gathering held in Macedonia

This year’s 12th International Students’ Gathering, organized by UDEF, which is being held in 91 cities of 51 countries, completed Ghana its events of Macedonia in capital Skopje.


In the leadership of UDEF with joint efforts of Kopru Kultur Sanat & Egitim Association and Vision-M Magazine, international students in Macedonia comprised of presentation traditional dance, songs, poetry, and food.


Ozcan Kirmaz on behalf of UDEF said, “Youths are the future of nations, youths will construct the future. We need to support this goodwill cause with our outmost dedication and support.”


We strive to become Ansar.


Later speaking in the event, General Secretary of Rize International Student Association, Yunus Emre Arslan, ““Turkey meets fairly favorable conditions for university education. We as UDEF try to be Ansar (of utmost help) to our international students irrespective of their origin. With our 64 different associations throughout Turkey we are always by the side of our international students.”


Rector of International Balkan University, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Dursun Erdem said, “These events are meant to make international students get known to each other.” Quoting famous phrases of Philosopher Yunus Emre, he added, “All the good in the world begins with introduction and getting known to each other. Today we got a chance to get known to students from different ethnic background, cuisine and folks dance. These differences need not be the factor to divide us; rather they should be means of appreciation and unity.


General Secretary of Rize International Student Association Yunus Emre Arslan, International Balkan University Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Dursun Erdem, Serbia Prosova Students Prsident Suayip Rushidi, Bosnia Herzegovina Bosnian Students President Aysela Demic and a number of international students attended the event.
