India said, “For a Just World, From East to West”

12th International Students’ Gathering, which this year bears a slogan of “For a Just World, From East to West”, completed its Indian phase.


The event, which was held in the Indian capital of New Delhi and was hosted by the Embassy of Republic of Turkey, New Delhi. The program started with the recitation of the Noble Quran. UDEF Vice President Ali Arıkmert, UDEF-India Office Coordinator Noushad Mancher Kurikkal, Deputy Counsel Sayyed Sameer, Embassy officials and many guest students participated.

“We are always with International Students”

Following the recitation of the Noble Qur’an, UDEF Vice President Ali Arikmert while presenting his inaugural speech mentioned about the opportunities of higher education in Turkey, also expressed his gladness for the organization of the Indian phase of 12th International Students’ Gathering. He further described about UDEF, its activities and said, “The presence of around 150 Thousand of international students in Turkey, from 203 different countries shows emergence of Turkey as the center for the conscience of We Are One Nation. As UDEF, we put our best efforts to be Ansar (helpful in the utmost manner) to all of our international students, irrespective of their nationalities. With 64 different international students’ associations all over Turkey, we are always with our brothers and sisters.”

Later the program turned to be more vibrant as it was accompanied by musical performances with Indian and Turkish songs. Participant guest students were able to quench their queries regarding opportunities of higher education in Turkey.

At the end of the program, participant students expressed their keen interests towards Turkey and their eagerness to organize this program on a greater scale with loftier participation in the years to come. The well-felicitated program ended the souvenir presentations.
